News:

Well, all my good friends and wonderful clients, it has been awhile since I sent you any new information! Shame on me! If you will check my gallery, you will see some new quilts (these are just the start of updating our gallery with pictures of the incredible work done by our talented clients.) I been given permission to add more pictures, but I believe my computer will start smoking (and my web person's computer will never forgive me and all would be lost!!), So, look in the future for a rotation of some of the gorgeous quilt tops we get to work with every day!

A quick update on the plans mentioned in the update sent to you in the spring: my husband and I have decided to hold off on the webstore for now. Our longarm business is much too important to spread our energies too thin. We owe it to you to concentrate all our efforts on the longarm quilting business and continue to provide you with the highest quality work we can. On that note: please do not hesitate to contact us with questions before or during the piecing or quilting process - we are here to help you however we can. I clearly remember when I had first asked for the definition of a longarm quilter - I had no clue! Of course, once I found out -- well, that was for me!! What's more, when my husband, who had been very removed from quilting (much more the golfing and woodworking kind of guy) took one look at the huge semi truck pulling up to our front door and large and shiny (Very Large and Very Shiny) machine coming off the Semi, well.....Let's just say that I practically have to reserve quilt time. My husband, Lyn, has demonstrated a wonderful talent and eye for quilting, both for patterns and thread colors (who knew??) that he has officially been promoted to Quilt Artist. You simply cannot go wrong with two Quilt Artists in the house! You see, I knew he had artistic talent, but add a "BIG MACHINE...." Just picture the consequences. Life is great for me as well, as he is also a wonderfully organized individual, in direct contradiction to me and we have a great partnership. Please feel free to ask him any quilting questions you may have as well: just a few days back, he was happily chatting to me about placing the pattern on point and did I think that the shadow quilting really was the best way to deal with the lovely stars we had in front of us. So....I have to say he passed his final exam for Singing Cactus Quilting. (My clients have agreed as they get great demos of the machine in action with more enthusiasm than you could possibly imagine.

Well, for those of you whose quilts I have not yet published on the website after receiving your permission, please forgive me - they will get on for everyone to see. Also, if I forgot to ask your persimission, it was simply an omission - please email or call me and let me know that it's okay. We can always take some more pictures after the binding and correct the omission - no problem!! The East Coast has many talented quilters and I have been privileged to quilt for clients from federal other states: we have gotten the mailing process down pat! They have been arriving in both directions in 2 days and in pristine condition: it must be because I worry it there and worry it home again - the worry perfected by motherhood (for me, at least!)

Well, I shall sign off for now on behalf of Lyn and myself and we will not delay our next chat for so very long. Thank you all so much for your wonderful support and for trusting us with your lovely quilt tops. We have developed such friendships, have learned so much from fabulous quilters (that's all of you, by the way.) and continue to wish you all the best. Please remember that, inspite of what appears to be only fancy, artistic quilting, we also love doing traditional quilting as well. What's more, the prices are the same: Our prices rely on the size of the quilt and the complexity of the work (some of the very involved-appearing work is not as time-consuming than you would think and will charge out at the same price as something more traditional, such as stippling or a simple pantograph.) I know that, on some of my own quilts, I have used very traditional quilt patterns and have enjoyed them (I'm afraid that you cannot ask to see them as they don't live here anymore - as is the case with most of my quilts - much to my pleasure - giving a little quilt hug to family members is as good as it gets.) Until next time - take very good care and enjoy creating the lovely pieces of yourself that will be cherished by your family members!
